Finding Shangri La: Improving Your Journey by Acharya Sri Khadi Madama Are You Cool or Warm? What's Your MO? Back in the 1950's, the term "cool" came into our conversation. It was used to describe individuals who were aloof, unaffected by events or situations around them. It also referred to those who could get away with something or those who set themselves apart by their ability to remain on the fringe. In other words, back then if someone were cool, they may get attention, but they weren't someone who was amenable or approachable, or interested in others' well-being--they were cool! |

Yoga, Dinner and a Movie Episode 19 Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman; Bela’s Munchable Potato, Chutney & Yogurt Snack: Embracing The Moon Pose Although it doesn’t have an India based theme, I can’t resist a review of an old TV classic favorite of mine, Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, the soap opera spoof created by Woody Allen. There’s the cozy country-style lamp that shines a light on all of the family photos on that front table in the window. There’s also the warm, neat and inviting kitchen, including the typical small screen black and white television to watch while cooking, or waxing the kitchen floor, which is what Mary Hartman-Mary Hartman did on a regular basis. |

Yoga, Dinner and a Movie Episode 18 Ninotchka: Bela’s Jeweled Tofu “Eggs” with Coconut Milk: Modified Camel Pose Often we hear the phrase “pearl of great price”. Anything can be that pearl-the prize-the treasure that we are trying to obtain. For our handful of unfortunates in this classic film, which reincarnated on Broadway asSilk Stockings, the pearl of great price is an egg. That’s right. One ordinary egg. A rationed egg. That’s for all that the delightful characters in our movie yearn. |

Finding Shangri La: Improving Your Journey by Acharya Sri Khadi Madama Can You Hear Me Now And Success Blocking Noise Stress Communication is everything, not only in relationships but also in business. Many years ago, when I was still teaching Yoga to the general public, I taught in a school which was very large and the acoustics were awful. So awful, in fact, that when I would instruct the class to :"touch their toes", they thought I said "eat your toast". |
